Went for an impromptu lunch with my sister. Fit time there and really impressed. Clean and spacious with a very welcoming look. The food was amazing and portions were large. Great selection and a great lunch special.
First time here! We went here to celebrate our marriage! From the moment we entered, we were seated right a way. Bilingual staff. The food was delicious! Portions are big! Took a doggy bag home! Had a piña colada and loved it! They had a person taking pictures and we ended buying two picture beautiful framed to remember our special date 12.08.2023. The place is beautiful, the paintings on the wall makes you feel as if you are in México! We loved it! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
A cute Mexican restaurant, the place is spacious and colorful. The food and drink is good
Hands down best food, service, and atmosphere. The staff is beyond attentive and very friendly. I would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Mexican cuisine. In addition, I take my students every year and they have nothing but amazing things to say about their experience.
I recently ordered takeout from this establishment, and to my dismay, I discovered a bug in the food. The hygiene standards here are appalling, and I am thoroughly disappointed with the overall quality and cleanliness. This experience has left me with serious concerns about the restaurant's commitment to basic food safety standards. I strongly advise against dining here.
I heard that this restaurant has been very popular and wanted to try it. The building is so colorful and easy to find. Nice sizable space to come with a group of 10 people. There are nice outside spaces.
We happened to have all seafood. Grilled octopus as an appetizer, then paella and fish taco. They are all good and have a lot of vegetables with each dish. Paella is a pretty big portion and a good dish to share, I thought.
They have a great mariachi and that gave a festivity. Because the dining room is pretty big, it's not overpowering and we enjoyed it.
The only thing that was a bit disappointing thing was dessert. The flan we shared was dense and way too sweet. The coffee wasn't good.
Overall, it was a great experience.
Waited 40 minutes for three fish tacos and ceviche. The taco were disgusting, maybe one filet of Toulouse and some greasy green peeper a few onions wrapped in an oil soaked greasy taco. See photo and basically inedible. Don't be fooled by their Their ceviche was just as sad, mostly imitation crab with couple of shrimp and 4 small rings of squid.
We chucked the tacos in the trash, picked at the cervacie and swore we WILL never order from Sangris in Congers NY again. PS the hostess couldn't really give a care about me or my order. After PLEADING with he she finally went into the kitchen and brought out my order. It was was cold and dead on arrival. I even tipped her for my take out order got me nothing. Last time in this place....
Despite the somewhat incongruous name, the menu and decor of Sangria's is almost exclusively Mexican (not Spanish). The dining room and outdoor patio area are expansive and both have a relaxed atmosphere. The patio area was very pleasant but I should have brought bug spray - the mosquitoes were out in force. The house margaritas were delicious and everyone in my party enjoyed their food. The portions were generous enough to take half back as leftovers. Multiple tempting vegetarian options. Servers were attentive and friendly. I'd be happy to come again if I find myself in the area- would love to come on a Friday to hear the mariachi band.
